Tummy Love Smoothie

Ginger has long been used for nausea and morning sickness. Just be careful: It can also cause heartburn in some mommies. A knob of ginger can be difficult to peel because of the grooves and bumps. Instead, use a spoon’s edge to scrape away the skin. It’s much easier than trying to use a vegetable peeler . . . your fingertips will thank you.

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

2 cups spinach

2 small apples of choice, peeled and cored

2 small carrots, peeled

12" knob ginger, peeled

14 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 cups unsweetened almond milk

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
