Pucker Up Smoothie

The tartness of lemons and limes is balanced by crisp kale and raw honey in this smoothie. Coconut milk adds a natural fat that aids in weight loss and a beautiful complexion. Not only do lemons and limes have the acidity and tang to make you pucker up; they are incredibly healthy, too. Those same small, sour fruits that can bring a tear to your eye promote a balanced alkaline level in your body.

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

2 cups baby kale

2 lemons, peeled and seeded

2 limes, peeled and seeded

12 avocado, pitted and skin removed

2 tablespoons raw honey

2 cups coconut milk

3 coconut water ice cubes

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
