Don’t be afraid to crack an egg or two in your smoothies. Choose pastured eggs from free-range hens, and wash the exterior shell prior to cracking to remove bacteria. Avoid commercial eggs that come from caged hens and have been contaminated with feces and dirt. An egg offers perfect protein and is so much better than the factory-made protein powders available.
