Swiss Minty Smoothie

Swiss chard is actually in the beet family of vegetables and is very popular in Mediterranean regions. Loaded with phytonutrients, Swiss chard, when included regularly in diets, helps prevent osteoporosis and anemia. With the fresh flavor of mint, the hydrating nature of the cucumber, and the creaminess of the blended pear, this smoothie is sure to please.

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

112 cups Swiss chard

12 cup fresh mint

2 cucumbers, peeled

2 medium pears of choice, peeled and cored

2 cups coconut water

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
