Berry Green Smoothie

Don’t let the dandelion greens scare you away from making this tropical delight . . . you can always substitute arugula, spinach, or whatever greens you have in your refrigerator. However, dandelion greens are high in fiber and work as a laxative as well as touting the benefit of reducing cholesterol in the blood. Also high in carotenes, they help protect against lung and oral cancers.

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

2 cups dandelion greens

12 cup unsweetened coconut flakes

2 cups frozen blackberries

1 medium carrot, peeled

2 cups coconut water

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
