Ginger-Citrus Stress Away Smoothie

The tang of citrus from the pineapple and the zing of ginger make for a stimulating blend that will put your senses and taste buds on high alert. Delicious and rejuvenating, this zippy treat can instantly turn around a stressful day. Buy whole flax seeds and grind them just before using, otherwise they can go rancid pretty quickly.

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

2 cups watercress

2 cups frozen pineapple chunks

1 peeled and frozen banana

12" knob ginger, peeled

1 tablespoon flax seeds

2 cups green tea, cooled

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
