Turnip the Beet Smoothie

Turn up the beat and dance away while drinking this root veggie smoothie. When purchasing turnips, choose the smaller ones as they have a sweeter taste. Loaded with fiber, vitamins, and minerals, this filling drink will surprise you with its creamy texture and will curb your appetite and cravings.

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

1 small turnip plus greens, peeled and diced

1 small beet plus beet greens, peeled and diced

2 medium tart apples, peeled and cored

12 lemon, peeled and seeded

2 cups water

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
