Ahoy Savoy Smoothie

You can buy sesame seeds already toasted in the spice aisle in most grocery stores, but if you can only find them plain, no worries. Using an ungreased skillet, cook the seeds over medium heat for about 3–4 minutes, pushing these little high-quality protein gems around until they are lightly browned.

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

2 cups savoy cabbage

1 peeled and frozen banana

12 avocado, peeled and pitted

1 cup frozen pineapple cubes

1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

2 cups coconut water

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
