Summer Squash Smoothie

Summer squash is one of the easiest squash to grow even for the not-so-green-thumb person. This smoothie is a tasty and healthy way to use some of your garden’s yield. High in manganese, summer squash can help with women’s monthly mood swings and cramps, so drink up and soothe your aches.

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

2 cups baby kale

1–2 sprigs parsley

2 summer squash, diced

2 small pears of choice, peeled and cored

1 parsnip, peeled

1 garlic clove

2 cups white tea, cooled

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
