Asparagus-Avocado Smoothie

Avocado really is nature’s little miracle. It gives whatever it’s added to a creamy and luxurious texture. Not only high in vitamins A, K, D, and E, avocados have proven to help with the absorption of other nutrients so they raise the nutritional value of other veggies and fruits around them . . . like when you use one in a smoothie.

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

1 cup mixed greens

2 cups chopped asparagus, tough ends discarded

12 avocado, peeled and pitted

1 celery stalk, including leaves

1 small tart apple, peeled and cored

Juice from 12 lime

Pinch of sea salt

2 cups green tea, cooled

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
