Coconut Nut Brownie Smoothie

With a name like this, how in the world can this smoothie be healthy? Well, unlike a traditional brownie loaded with flour, refined sugar, and dairy, this treat is overflowing with fiber, healthy fats, vitamin E, minerals, and antioxidants. But don’t let the nutritional words fool you: This decadent dessert green smoothie is just plain delicious.

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

2 cups spring greens

1 small apple of choice, peeled and cored

12 avocado, peeled and pitted

12 cup unsweetened coconut flakes

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

2 tablespoons raw honey

10 pecan halves

112 cups coconut milk

8 coconut water ice cubes

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
