Chocolate-Covered Cherry Smoothie

When cherry season hits, take advantage of these dark-red stone fruit beauties. Not only are they jam-packed with incredible flavonoids to protect your body against free radicals; their intense flavor and creaminess mask the bitterness that spinach and other greens may bring to your smoothie.

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

2 cups spinach

2 cups frozen pitted sweet cherries

1 banana

1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tablespoon sunflower seeds

2 cups unsweetened almond milk

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
