Not Your Grandma’s Banana Nut Smoothie

Waking up to the sweet aroma of fresh-baked banana bread can’t be replaced . . . until you taste this smoothie! When you think of antioxidant-rich foods, walnuts probably aren’t your first thought, but just 14 cup of walnuts carries almost 100 percent of your daily requirement for omega-3 fatty acids and is loaded with monounsaturated fats. Of the tree nuts, walnuts, chestnuts, and pecans carry the highest amount of antioxidants, which can prevent illness and reverse oxidative damage done by free radicals.
