Goji Go-Go Smoothie

Considered both a berry and an herb, goji berries have been receiving a lot of press, because many celebrities swear by them. But don’t let the faddish nature of that sway you; Chinese medicine has been using goji berries for centuries. They also have a low glycemic index, which, when consumed, helps stave off cravings for starchy and sugary foods.

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

1 cup baby spinach

1 banana

1 cup frozen mixed berries

14 cup goji berries

1" knob ginger, peeled

2 cups water

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
