Leg Day Recovery Smoothie

Squat. Lunge. Deadlift. Repeat. Repeat again. Then morning comes along. It is impossible to get out of bed or even climb into your car. That means you did good. You worked your legs thoroughly. Now go enjoy your Paleo green smoothie and help those muscles repair. Enjoy this smoothie containing almond butter as a protein source for rebuilding your beautiful quads!

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

2 cups kale

2 cups frozen mixed berries

1 banana

1 teaspoon almond butter

1 large, pastured egg

2 cups coconut water

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
