3K Smoothie

The three Ks in this smoothie refer to the kale, blackberries, and cucumber, which all deliver a healthy dose of vitamin K. Vitamin K protects against cancer and heart disease and helps in blood clotting. If you want a colder smoothie, try using cooled green tea or coconut water ice cubes for flavorful additions.

Recipe Yields: 3–4 cups

2 cups kale

2 cups frozen blackberries

1 cucumber, peeled

2 teaspoons almond butter

2 cups water

  1. Combine all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid if necessary.
