Morris Chestnut has enjoyed tremendous critical and commercial success as a film and television star for more than two decades. He is best known for his roles in films such as Boyz n the Hood, The Brothers, The Perfect Holiday, Think Like a Man, the commercially and critically acclaimed The Best Man and its successful sequel, The Best Man Holiday, and The Perfect Guy. Chestnut stars in the title role in Fox’s series Rosewood as a Miami pathologist who teams up with the police to solve the city’s most challenging cases.
In 2013, he starred opposite Halle Berry in TriStar’s The Call. That same year, he also starred in Universal’s Kick-Ass 2 opposite Jim Carrey and Chloë Grace Moretz, and the studio’s tentpole summer comedy, Identity Thief, with Melissa McCarthy. Obi Obadike is a celebrity fitness and nutrition expert who has graced the cover of over 50 fitness magazines and has authored more than 100 articles for fitness magazines, making him one of the most published fitness experts over the last 10 years. He has trained and dieted some of the most influential celebrities in the world.
He was recognized in January 2016 as the most influential expert in the fitness and health space in the world on Twitter by a top social media analytics site called Onalytica. He was named Writer of the Year for the largest Internet site in the world in Bodybuilding.com in 2012. In January 2014, he was recognized as one of the top 10 most influential fitness experts on the Web by Dr. Oz’s Sharecare.com. In April 2016, he, along with Jack LaLanne, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Jillian Michaels, was named one of the top 10 most inspirational fitness personalities by AskMen.com. Also in 2016, he was selected as one of the top 50 fittest people in the world by AskMen.com.
Obadike was the co-host and judge (with Jillian Michaels and Randy Hetrick, founder and CEO of TRX) on a fitness reality competition show called Sweat Inc. that premiered on Spike TV in fall 2015. He is the current co-host of a nationally syndicated Health TV show called Lifestyle Magazine, which airs every Thursday on TBN, the Family Channel, Hope Channel, and other nationally syndicated networks. The show is aired in 190 countries.
Obidake was a top Division I collegiate track athlete at Cal State Fullerton, where he was the school record holder in the 100 and 200 meters as well as the 400-meter relay. He was also co-athlete of the year at the university and a two-time All Big West Conference sprinter. He holds BA/BS and MS degrees and is a certified nutritionist specialist and certified trainer with ISSA. He has written for and contributed to fitness magazines and websites, including Muscle & Fitness, Shape, Bodybuilding.com, AskMen.com, Sharecare.com, LiveStrong, and many others. His monthly Q-and-A fat loss column in Muscle & Fitness magazine launched in April 2016.
