Makes one approximately 8-ounce serving
½ grapefruit, peeled (see notes)
1 carrot
1 cucumber
¼ head Bibb or romaine lettuce
1 large handful of fresh mint leaves and stems
1 (1-inch) piece fresh ginger (see notes)
1 (2-inch) piece fresh turmeric, or 1 teaspoon ground turmeric (see notes)
1 Radical Lemon Cube (here), thawed, or ½ lemon with peel
Clean the fruits and veggies. Process all the ingredients through a juicer or high-powered blender (see notes). Drink immediately for maximum nutritional benefits.
Notes: If you’re on medications where grapefruit is contraindicated, you can substitute one whole orange, peeled.
If using a high-powered blender, add enough water for a blendable consistency.
If using powdered turmeric, stir in at end.
