Sweet Secret You can use any type of pear in this homespun dessert, but make sure they are ripe.
Sweet Secret Unripe pears? Place them in a lunch-size paper bag with an apple. Close the bag and leave it on the counter for a few days. The apple will help the pears ripen faster.
Sweet Secret You can substitute ½ package yellow or white cake mix with pudding (dry) for the Easy Scratch Cake Mix (about 1½ cups).
