Sweet Secret Placing the candies on top of the batter, not in the batter, means they won’t sink to the bottom of the cake. Try with your favorite candy bar, using 1 cup of small cut up pieces.
Sweet Secret If you’ve got a yellow cake mix with pudding on hand, you can use it (dry) in place of the Easy Scratch Cake Mix. Spray bottom and side of 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray. Pour into pan. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove side of pan. Cool 30 minutes longer. Serve warm or cool.
Simple Sparkle If you like, sprinkle the top of the cake lightly with powdered sugar for a dressed-up look. Place a tablespoon of the sugar in a fine-mesh strainer; tap the edge of the strainer with a spoon while moving it over the cake.
