You can use the templates given on the following pages by enlarging them on a photocopier to the size you require for your project. Make a tracing, turn the tracing paper over, and smooth the first tracing face down on a piece of paper. Now go over the tracing on the other side in pencil. With the right side up, place the tracing over the fabric so it is where you want your embroidery to be. Re-trace the outline so the pattern appears on the fabric, very lightly, in pencil. Do remember that you can also adapt and mix and match templates between the projects. For example, you may want to use the templates for the headboard shelf cover to fill a picture frame. Always feel free to add your own extra details.
