Experience Beyond the Center
Greater Tokyo, home to an astonishing 35 million people, is by far the biggest urban area on the planet. The districts beyond the center of Tokyo are some of its most characteristic – whether it is the new pop cultural hotspot of Ikebukuro, the manmade islands of Tokyo bay, or the hip neighborhoods of Ebisu, Daikanyama, and Meguro on the west side. Here, too, you’ll find some of the city’s most exciting developments, such as Toyosu, the location of one of Tokyo’s largest shopping malls, and the vast fish market. Nearby, futuristic Odaiba and its surrounds are a breath of fresh air from the frenetic inner city.
