2 ways with bulgur

start to finish: 20 minutes | MAKES: 4 servings 

1. In a medium saucepan combine broth and bulgur. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, about 15 minutes or until tender. Drain if necessary.

SPICED BULGUR PILAF (BELOW LEFT): After cooking bulgur, add golden raisins, toasted sliced almonds, and sliced green onions. Drizzle with olive oil and freshly squeezed lemon juice to moisten. Add ground cinnamon and snipped fresh mint to taste. Toss gently with a fork.

WARM CINNAMON-APPLE BULGUR (BELOW RIGHT): Cook bulgur in water. After cooking, add golden raisins, chopped apple, and toasted sliced almonds. Drizzle with maple syrup to moisten. Add ground cinnamon to taste. Toss gently with a fork.
