Food always sounds fancier in another language, doesn’t it? Pan = bread, con = with, salsa = salsa, y = and, aguacate = avocado. Get it? Avocado toast with salsa. Nothing could possibly be wrong with this concept. —CS

4 slices vegan sourdough bread, toasted
2 small ripe avocados, halved, pitted and peeled
Minced fresh cilantro
Place the toast on plates. Use a fork to chunkily smash the avocados. Divide it among the toast and arrange in an even layer. Top with a fair amount of salsa, without overloading to avoid making for messy eats. Top with cilantro and serve immediately.
