Energizing PEACH-MACA SMOOTHIE

If there were ever a superfood to invest in, it would be maca powder. Maca’s flavor profile veers towards caramel (which is never a bad thing). It supplies the body with a natural energy boost—and therein lies its value as a superfood. Cheers to a great morning smoothie that is spiked with just the right amount of maca! —MR

SERVES 1

½ cup (75 g) frozen chopped peaches

½ cup (75 g) frozen strawberries

½–1 frozen banana

¾–1 cup (180–235 ml) almond milk

2 pitted Medjool dates

1 tbsp (7 g) maca powder

TOPPINGS

Cacao nibs

Any fruit (I love pomegranate seeds)

Unsweetened coconut flakes

Dried goji or mulberries (optional)

Simply add all of the ingredients to a blender, and mix until smooth and creamy. Pour it into a bowl and add as many toppings as you would like!
