Southwestern Ham Steak
Serve with one of our fresh salsas.
PREP: 5 minutes GRILL: 6 to 8 minutes
MAKES: 4 main-dish servings
2 teaspoons chili powder
½ teaspoon ground cumin
¼ teaspoon ground coriander
¼ teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
¼ teaspoon sugar
1 fully cooked center-cut ham slice,
½ inch thick (1 ¼ pounds)
1. Prepare outdoor grill for direct grilling over medium heat, or lightly spray a ridged grill pan with nonstick cooking spray, then heat on medium until hot.
2. In small bowl, combine chili powder, cumin, coriander, ground red pepper, and sugar. Use to rub on ham steak.
3. Place ham steak on hot grill rack or pan and cook until heated through and lightly browned, 6 to 8 minutes per side.
