These poems are dedicated to the Navajo women who have been struggling for their lives and safety against the multinational corporations.
They are dedicated to Sister Rosalie Bertell, MD, whose words reached me at the Black Hills Alliance International Survival Gathering. She said, “Everywhere I go, women are grieving the death of the species. You can either turn it around or help it to die.”
These poems are dedicated to gentle women throughout the world who have been mourning the initiation of the death process into the life of the planet.
These poems are dedicated to my Lakota daughters and the children of all women.
