JOEL HARPER is a celebrity personal trainer who has developed custom workouts for countless clients for more than twenty years. He currently lives in New York City and Falls Village, Connecticut, but is originally from Dallas, Texas. He graduated from New York University. His great success is largely due to simple, no-­nonsense, down-­to-­earth strategies that teach people how to harness the power of their minds to lose weight, get fit, and boost their moods. His exercise routines and eating plans are time-­efficient and simple and produce immediate and impressive results. He is a favorite fitness expert among the media, online, and in print magazines, providing exercise tips, lifestyle advice, quotes, and commentary. His clients range from Dr. Oz to Olympic medalists as well as Hollywood elite, Broadway stars, and famous musicians.

Harper created all the personal workout chapters for the New York Times bestselling YOU book series as well as the accompanying workout videos. He makes regular appearances on The Dr. Oz Show and has been seen on ABC News, CBS News, FOX News, Good Morning America, The Today Show, CNN, Discovery Health, PBS, QVC, and The Liza Oz Show.

In addition to creating all of the accompanying workout videos for the bestselling YOU books series, Harper is the creator of the PBS bestselling DVDs Firming After 50 and Slim and Fit. He has recently released the Brain Fitness DVD with Neal Barnard, M.D.
