TOOLS Small glass jar | Small funnel | Pen or pencil | Black or white chime candle (or a hot glue gun) | Lighter or matches
INGREDIENTS ½ tsp salt (Himalayan or black) | ½ tsp dried rosemary | ½ tsp black pepper | Chips of crystals associated with protection | 1 dried bay leaf
This spell will provide you with constant protection in a jar, which can be placed under your bed or in another safe spot that you spend a lot of time in. If you notice the ingredients or color going strange, or the bottle even cracking after time, the spell has worked and it is time to renew your jar.
Start by cleansing your glass jar. Layer in the salt, rosemary, pepper, and the crystal chips. Draw either a protective rune on your bay leaf, your own sigil of protection, or the word “protection,” and add it to the jar. Close the jar and seal it by dripping candle wax around the lid, or alternatively use a hot glue gun. You can speak a simple affirmation into the jar:
May I be protected from ill wishes and harm, so mote it be.
Shake every so often to activate the energies of the spell jar, and whenever you feel like you need a protection boost.

Building relationships with spirit allies will help keep you protected. This ritual is both to pacify spirits you may have offended by living on land that is sacred to them, or by any other conscious or unconscious acts, as well as to create allies and spirit “friends” that can assist in your future practice.
Start by cleansing your space and yourself, and casting a circle. Sit by your altar and arrange the offerings. Hold your hands over them and visualize a light being emitted by your hands, washing over the offerings and cleansing them. Say the words:
May these offerings be cleansed and blessed.
Now invite the spirits—specific deities or ancestors, or simply the spirits that are all around you—by saying:
Spirits come in peace, enjoy this offering that I bring.
Light the incense and sit with the spirits, either in meditation or even talking, or eating something yourself. Once done, say:
Thank you for your presence, now may we part, return to your homes until we may meet again, so mote it be.
Open the circle and remove the offerings.
BEST TIME Daily or once a week
