Run by parents, for parents, the National Childbirth Trust is a self-help charity organization with 400 branches across the UK. There’s bound to be a local branch near you, running:
• childbirth classes
• breastfeeding counselling
• new baby groups
• open house get-togethers
• support for dads
• working-parents’ groups
• sales of nearly-new baby clothes and equipment
– as well as loads of events where you can meet and make friends with other people going through the same changes.

You don’t have to become a member to enjoy the services and support of the National Childbirth Trust. It’s open to everyone. We do encourage people to join the charity because it helps fund our work – supporting all parents.
When you become an NCT member and join your local group, you’ll get a regular neighbourhood newsletter (a guide to your area aimed at new parents) and you’ll also receive NCT’s New Generation – our mailed-out members’ magazine that takes an in-depth look at all issues of interest to new parents.
