A big heartfelt thanks as ever to Roger and Lucas for your support and for sharing me with my needles and yarn. As every knitting author knows, your patterns are only as good as your editor and Gwendolyn Wagner-Adair is as good as they get – thanks Gwen for your knowledge, patience and incredible attention to detail.
Thanks too to knitters and crocheters Annie Christopher, Jean Luff and Caroline Bletsis who helped me bring some of these creations to life, and to Kat Stiff for her design, the incredible Trump Voodoo Pincushion. Very grateful to that most excellent photographer Ivan Jones who brought the book to life with his humour and lens skills; speaking of which, a big hearty cheers to that rent-a-gang of protestors, David Samuel, Josh Samuel-Gaitens, Vicky Barnard, Joanna Copperman, Lara Murphy, John Conlon and Madeline Meckiffe featured in the crowd scenes in the book; and to all at Plum5 for their hard work.
The flask holder project was inspired by the passionate activist Marina Pepper who you will find at protests helping both protestors and those in positions of authority to feel safe and comfortable by handing out tea, poured out of a china teapot into china cups.
Final credit goes to all those brilliant knitting revolutionaries who just won’t give up – keep knitting and keep fighting!
