SLOW COOKER HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN

3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs

Sea salt and black pepper, to taste

½ cup coconut aminos

½ cup natural ketchup (no added sugar)

¼ cup honey

1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic

1 teaspoon dried basil

Sesame seeds and sliced scallions, for garnish (optional)

1.Generously season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Place in the bottom of a slow cooker.

2.In a small bowl, combine the coconut aminos, ketchup, honey, garlic, and basil. Pour over the chicken. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours. Garnish with sesame seeds and scallions, if desired.

Quick Tip: I like to serve this tender, flavorful chicken with a vibrant green salad and steamed veggies.
