MEAN GREEN SMOOTHIE

I often hear “I could never do Keto, because you can’t have any fruit.” But you absolutely can still have berries, in moderation. And this Mean Green Smoothie is just as good as the smoothies that have much more fruit in them, and with only a tenth of the sugar. There is quite a bit of fiber in here to keep you full, and without that blood glucose spike and drop associated with the higher sugar smoothies, you won’t be looking for another meal as soon as you are done. And the best part—it’s pretty dang tasty!

MAKES: 1 smoothie

1 SMOOTHIE: 218 Calories, 15 g Fat, 6 g Carbs, 5 g Protein

 

¼ cup (36 g) frozen strawberries

½ cup (62 g) frozen raspberries

½ avocado

1 cup (30 g) spinach

10 oz (300 ml) unsweetened almond milk

½ tsp vanilla extract

1 to 2 tbsp (7 to 15 g) powdered erythritol

Combine the strawberries, raspberries, avocado, spinach, almond milk, vanilla and erythritol in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
