Tunisian Purl Stitch (Tps): see Basic Stitches

Row 1 (foundation row): Chain required number of stitches. Pick up a loop from back bump in 2nd ch from hook, and in each ch to end, leaving all loops on hook. Return.

Row 2: Starting in 2nd vertical bar, work a Tps (1), work a Tss into next st (2). Continue alternating Tps and Tss up to last st, work end st. Return.

Row 3: This row is worked the same as Row 2 but in the opposite order i.e. you will be working a Tps above the previous Tss and a Tss above the previous Tps.

Starting in 2nd vertical bar, work a Tss, then work a Tps into next st (3). Continue alternating stitches this way up to last st, work end st. Return.

Repeat Rows 2 and 3 to form pattern.
