ABOUT THE EDITORS AND CONTRIBUTORS

KATIE ELSON ANDERSON is a reference and instruction librarian at Paul Robeson Library, Rutgers University. She has edited and contributed to scholarly works on topics that include plagiarism, social media and society, popular culture and libraries, and children and YouTube.

VIBIANA BOWMAN CVETKOVIC is a reference librarian and the head of Access and Collection Services at the Paul Robeson Library, Rutgers University. She has edited scholarly press books and authored peer-reviewed articles on the topics of intellectual honesty and children’s visual culture. Ms. Cvetkovic is a PhD candidate in the Childhood Studies program at Rutgers University, Camden, New Jersey.


STEPHEN ABRAM, MLS, a strategy and direction planning consultant for libraries and the information industry, is principal of Lighthouse Partners. He is also executive director of the Federation of Ontario Public Libraries. He is a library trend watcher, keynote speaker, innovator, and author of Stephen’s Lighthouse blog. He has held executive leadership positions in libraries and at Cengage Learning (Gale), SirsiDynix, Thomson, ProQuest, and IHS.

SUSAN J. BECK is happily retired and splits her time living at the beach in Lewes, Delaware, and Naples, Florida. She worked as a university reference librarian for thirty-two years at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey; the University of Alabama; and the Center for the Study of Ethnic Publications at Kent State University. She also taught in the library school education programs at both Rutgers and Alabama. She was professionally active in the American Library Association, serving as president of the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) and chair of RUSA’s Reference Services Section.

LAWRENCE V. GHEZZI joined the South Amboy School District in September 1996. In 2002, he accepted the position of the South Amboy Middle/High School Media Specialist. In addition to a degree in social science and a degree in liberal arts, he has a master’s degree in educational media specialization, holds a New Jersey teaching certification for grades K–8, a New Jersey supervisor certification for grades K–12, and a New Jersey associate school library media specialist certification with advanced standing. Since 1996, he has been a certified member of the Literacy Volunteers of America.

JOHN GIBSON is an instructional technology specialist at Rutgers University with over a decade of experience in programming and development in higher education. John received awards in innovative technology and had several opportunities to present at local, state, and national levels on topics about technology and ethics. John also has had his works published in several books, professional journals, and newsletters.

GARY GOLDEN received his MS in librarianship from the University of Kentucky in 1974 and his PhD in library and information science from the University of Illinois in 1983. He has worked in public services and administration in academic research libraries over a forty-year career. He is currently the director of the Paul Robeson Library at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Dr. Golden has presented his research at various national and international venues, has published in refereed journals, and has consulted for several academic libraries.

SARA HARRINGTON is the head of arts and archives for the Ohio University. Dr. Harrington received her PhD in art history, her MA in art history, and her ML all from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. She received her BA in art history and French from Boston College. She has an extensive scholarly publication record.

JUSTIN HOENKE is a teen librarian and video gaming enthusiast who has written about these subjects for publications such as Library Journal and Voices of Youth Advocates and is a regular contributor for the blog Tame the Web. Justin is a member of the 2010 American Library Association Emerging Leaders class and was named a Library Journal Mover & Shaker in March 2013. Justin is currently the coordinator of teen services at the Chattanooga Public Library in Chattanooga, Tennessee. WALTER JOHNSON is a public information assistant at the Middletown Township Public Library, Middletown, New Jersey. His job includes the design of program promotional posters, creation of weekly e-mails for program updates, photographing of program activities, and participation in marketing planning meetings.

JULIE M. STILL is part of the library faculty at the Paul Robeson Library on the Camden campus of Rutgers University. She has an MA in history from the University of Richmond and an MA in library science and a BA in history from the University of Missouri. She has presented and published on a variety of topics in library science and history. As a reference librarian, she has a particular interest in the history of reference.

ZARA WILKINSON is a reference librarian at the Camden campus of Rutgers University. She received her MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010 and has also earned a BA in English literature from the University of Pittsburgh and an MA in English literature from West Chester University. At Rutgers Camden, she is liaison to the departments of English, Fine Arts, Philosophy, and Religion and also participates in campus outreach activities.
