About the Author

Kari O’Driscoll holds bachelor’s degrees in biology and philosophy from Pacific University in Oregon. She has worked in physical and mental health settings as well as schools and writes about social justice issues, parenting, mental health, and medical ethics. Her work has appeared in online journals and print anthologies, and she is active in her community, volunteering with the food bank and being on the board of a local nonprofit. She is the mother of two strong, clever, compassionate daughters and is on a mission to let teenagers everywhere know that, despite the bad rap they often get, they are amazing.
