This is your time to exist in The Newborn Bubble. It’s the happy little place new mums and dads enter when they have a newborn. It’s a dreamy little land, built for bonding, healing and chocolate, where exhausted parents stare at their delectable child for hours and hours and hours at a time. They’ll sit down for morning tea, stare at their baby, and nekminit it’s 4 p.m., no one has showered and the cat is yowling for food and/or attention.
The Bubble is a lovely place. Don’t rush out of it. Some clever parents will hole up and stay in The Bubble for months, only surfacing to post multiple pictures on social media before popping back for a little more staring, toe kissing and head sniffing.
The world can wait. It’ll be exactly the same when you re-enter it; you’re not missing a thing. Promise.
