S’MORES are an American braai institution and this is a gourmet version, using bought choc chip cookies topped with a marshmallow and Peppermint Crisp crumble. That should cheer up kids and adults alike!
MAKES 6
12 marshmallows
12 choc chip cookies
50 g Peppermint Crisp chocolate, crushed
1. Thread 6 marshmallows onto each of 2 metal skewers and hold over smouldering coals. Turn the skewers often, until the marshmallows are toasted and the centre is gooey and soft.
2. Place the toasted marshmallows on a cookie, sprinkle with the crushed chocolate and sandwich another cookie on top. Serve immediately.
