CHOCOLATE & NOUGAT BANANA SPLIT
Don’t let those cooling coals go to waste. Pop some BANANAS in the coals and impress everyone with these rather decadent banana splits.
SERVES 4
4 large bananas, skin on
50 g dark chocolate, broken into chunks
100 g nougat, chopped into 12 pieces
Ice cream to serve
1. Cut a slit from top to bottom down the middle of each banana. Stuff the slit with the chocolate and nougat pieces.
2. Wrap the bananas loosely in foil, keeping the cut side upright.
3. Place the foil parcels in the hot coals and cook for about 25 minutes, until the bananas are hot and the chocolate melted.
4. Remove the bananas from the foil and place on a plate, scooping out any residue that remains in the foil. Serve with ice cream.
