banana chocolate-hazelnut spread lavash wheels

My kids love lavash, a soft Middle Eastern flatbread sold in many supermarkets, and they’re game to put almost anything in it as a roll-up for lunch. While meat, vegetables, and spreads such as hummus are all good filling options, combining bananas and luscious weelicious Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread (or store-bought Nutella) is pretty irresistible.

Makes 2 servings

¼ cup Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread or Nutella

Two 8 x 10 pieces whole-wheat lavash

2 ripe bananas, mashed

1. Spread 2 tablespoons of the hazelnut spread on each piece of lavash and top with half of the mashed banana. Leave a ½-inch border on the 2 long sides of the bread and a 1-inch border on one short side.

2. Starting on the end with no border, roll up the lavash. Cut each roll into 8 even wheels.

NOTE: A bit of the filling will get pushed out during rolling. Enjoy this excess for your own little taste test!
