978140193545012_0419_002

Buy organic foods whenever possible.

A sensitivity to any one of the foods in this list, while uncommon, is a not uncommon when you have digestive problems and immune deficiency. As you create a healthy inner ecosystem, and strengthen your digestion and immune system, you should soon be able to enjoy most of these foods.

But remember the Principle of Uniqueness. Find foods that work best for your unique body. We have carefully examined the ingredients in the brand names mentioned below and have given them the Body Ecology stamp of approval (khushboo). As we learn about new safe and delicious foods and products that help you become even healthier, we will expand and update this list.

FERMENTED FOODS

Body Ecology has starter cultures for making raw cultured vegetables, cultured butter, and sour cream, as well as kefir starter for making traditional milk kefir, young coconut kefir, and kefir cheese. Body Ecology also has fermented probiotic liquids (InnergyBiotic, Coco Biotic, Whole Grains Biotic, and Dong Quai). Dilute these liquids with sparkling mineral water and they make an ideal replacement for soft drinks when sweetened with Body Ecology’s Stevia Liquid Concentrate.

Potent Proteins (100% fermented protein powder with 50% fermented spirulina) is a very sour, very potent way to nourish your liver, increase iron and magnesium levels, and significantly boost energy. It provides powerful probiotic benefits.

Raw cultured vegetables are now available in many stores around the U.S. There are also private “artisans” who make them and will ship to you. (See www.bodyecology.com for listings.)

PROBIOTICS

Your local health-food store carries many excellent probiotic supplements. They all are far more effective when taken with the fermented foods on the Body Ecology Diet. Our favorite brand is Probulin. It not only includes an inulin prebiotic and well-researched strains of probiotics, but also an acid-protection technology to ensure the safe passage of bacteria through the stomach (www.bodyecology.com/probulin).
