For diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), fibroids and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), start by making an appointment with your GP. You may find complementary support through a holistic practitioner such as a naturopath, herbalist or qualified acupuncturist who uses menstrual cycle awareness in their toolkit. The Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (theanp.co.uk) and The British Acupuncture Council (acupuncture.org.uk) will aid your search. To avoid or achieve pregnancy naturally, I recommend working with a trained fertility awareness teacher.
For mental health support, start with an appointment with your doctor. They may make a diagnosis, offer medication or treatment, or refer you to a mental health specialist. Trained psychologists, coaches and therapists are an option, as well as helplines such as Samaritans.
