I have been asking questions about existence since I was a kid. I have always tried not to take things for granted. Old truths inspired me, but I kept challenging them. What is right for me today, in this day and age?
I was twenty-one when I traveled through Asia, searching. I went to every teacher and center that seemed to have answers. I really wanted something more out of life, but I am not even sure I knew what I was looking for. I tasted many different paths and learned about many practices that would help me find peace, happiness, and good health. My search continued in the West: countless schools, friends, classes, and so much reading.
I found that the basic truths have always remained true. Almost all of what I wrote here has not changed over the years. It is only small bits of information that change, mostly related to food, though no one ever contradicted the idea that eating vegetables is good for you.
I do hope that while you practice the teachings I have presented in this book, you stay informed about new research and never take anything for granted. I will keep updating my new findings and personal experiences on my site: www.doronyoga.com.
