Note: In 1967, the population of Meihua District was around 29,000, so the number of deaths composed 0.54 percent of the total population. Lijiaping Commune was part of Meihua District at that time but was put under the jurisdiction of Shuangpai County after the Cultural Revolution, and the fatalities in that commune were also transferred to Shuangpai County for statistical purposes.
