There is no denying that the dress is one of the most important elements of the wedding day. Every bride-to-be puts tremendous time and effort into finding just the right dress—the one that fits and flatters her best, suits the theme or style of the wedding, and speaks to the woman she is.
Due to its star status, you’ll need to be sure to get numerous detail shots of the bride’s dress, from full-body photos to close-up images that highlight the most minute, beautiful details.
Natural light will be your greatest asset when photographing the dress. You want to capture true color and light the delicate details softly. When working with white, your number-one priority is to avoid overexposure. Sometimes a flash can be effective when trying to capture a sparkle in the rhinestone detailing of the gown.
