Scooby decides to follow the trail of crumbs. Shaggy’s Uncle Gaggy jogs alongside Scooby.

“Whoopsy-Doo, where are you?” Gaggy calls out for his canine companion.

Scooby’s cousin, Whoopsy, leaps out from behind a small tent as if to scare them. But his goofy grin and hat are too funny to be frightening. Gaggy laughs at Whoopsy’s antics. Scooby concentrates on finding Shaggy and pays no attention.

“Scooby-Doo, when did you lose your sense of humor?” Gaggy says.

“Rit’s not rost. Raggy is rost, and Ri have to rind him,” Scooby replies.

“Now rat’s a real friend!” Whoopsy sobs dramatically and hugs Gaggy. Both of them pull out giant handkerchiefs and pretend to blow their noses. Confetti shoots out of the handkerchiefs.

Scooby follows the trail of snack crumbs. It leads him through the crowds of happy families enjoying a day at the circus and carnival. But all the different scents start to interfere with Scooby’s nose.

Suddenly the trail ends. There are no more crumbs to follow. Scooby sniffs the air, but all he can smell is cotton candy and corn dogs. This would be a good thing, except that now Scooby can’t track Shaggy!

Scooby stops in his tracks. “Ruh-roh,” he says.

Scooby starts to imagine being without Shaggy forever. Then he starts to sob. “Boo hoo hoo! Ri’ll never see my best friend again!”

Scooby’s nose gets all blocked up. Now it’s really impossible to sniff out Shaggy. Gaggy and Whoopsy offer Scooby their handkerchiefs. More confetti shoots out, and Scooby wails louder.

Scooby’s distress attracts a crowd. They want to help. When they find out that the dog has lost his human, they all volunteer to join in the search.

“This way!” a man says.

“No, this way!” a woman insists.

Scooby can’t go in both directions. He has to choose one!
