Pesto anything is amazing—right? This pizza uses our dee-lish walnut-based Pesto (page 227) to create a rich and flavorful five-star pizza experience. Topped with fresh tomatoes, garlic, and vegan mozzarella, it’s simple to make and sure to impress. You can use a storebought crust (or dough), or make your own from scratch using the recipe on page 246.

1 batch Pesto (page 227)
1 prepared pizza dough (store-bought or from the recipe on page 246), rolled into a large crust
1 to 2 cups shredded vegan mozzarella cheese (optional)
¾ cup halved cherry tomatoes
4 small cloves garlic, quartered
½ cup canned or marinated artichoke hearts, drained (optional)
Red chili pepper flakes, to taste
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Spread the pesto evenly on the pizza dough all the way to the edges.
3. Evenly sprinkle the pizza with the vegan cheese (if using), followed by the tomatoes, raw garlic, and artichoke hearts (if using).
4. Bake for 15 minutes (if you’re using a prebaked store-bought crust, follow the baking directions on the package). Remove from the oven, sprinkle with red chili pepper flakes, and enjoy immediately.
