This chapter is intended to be a continuation of Chapter 35, Wide-Complex Tachycardia: The Approach, and the reader should approach it as such. This chapter includes all the criteria used to differentiate between a supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) and a ventricular tachycardia (VTach) in the nonurgent stage, when this evaluation will take place, for the most part. Redundancy of some of the material is intentional to reinforce key concepts.
