Make it yours
This self-fastening wrap has been worked in a single solid colour, but why not add bright stripes to make your own unique design?
FOR THE BORDER
Round 1: Using 5mm (US H/8) hook, join yarn B in any st along outer edge. Work 1ch (does not count as st throughout), 1dc in each st around working [1dc, 1ch, 1dc] in each corner, join with sl st in first st.
Round 2: 1ch, 1dc in each st around working [1dc, 1ch, 1dc] in each corner, join with sl st in first st. Fasten off.
FOR THE KEYHOLE EDGING
Using 5mm (US H/8) hook, re-join yarn B in any st in the keyhole opening and work as for the Border.
Rep for second keyhole opening.
MAKING UP AND FINISHING
Weave in all loose ends and block to measurements.
Tip
The keyhole fastening is deceptively simple to create by simply missing a set number of stitches and creating a bridging chain, but it’s a technique that gives this project a really professional finish – just don’t tell anyone how easy it was!
