Curry Pumpkin Carrot Soup

- 7 medium carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
- 12 ounces pumpkin, peeled, seeded and cut into chunks
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 3/4 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- salt to taste
- Mix all ingredients in the slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 8 hours.
- Use an immersion blender to blend into desired consistency.
